What I Will Do as Mediator

I will attempt to assist you in cooperatively resolving all issues in dispute.

I will do my best to make progress with everyone together in the room.

I will relay information to the other side only after your consent, if I speak to you alone.

I will expect some degree of flexibility in your position.

I will make sure that no one takes advantage of the other during the process.

I will try to be sure that the other side understands why you feel as you do about the dispute that brought you to Mediation.

I will expect to be paid for the time spent resolving your dispute at the conclusion of the session.

I will prepare an Agreement for your signature at the conclusion of the mediation that states all of the things you were able to agree upon.
