Calculating Child Support

Child Support is calculated on a computer program, which provides "Guideline Support," an amount usually, but not always, adopted by the court.

One of the computer programs is called Dissomaster and is available at the Self-Help Center at the Watsonville Courthouse.

Another of the programs, called the Guideline Calculator, is available online from the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) at this site:  https://www.cse.ca.gov/ChildSupport/cse/guidelineCalculator

The resulting calculations of the two programs is nearly identical.  The Guideline Calculator is required to be used in any case involving DCSS.
